Maria Paola Tenchini is a Researcher of General Linguistics at the Università Cat¬tolica del Sacro Cuore in Brescia, where she teaches courses in General Linguistics and German Linguistics. Her scientific interests focus on the history of linguistics, particularly proto-pragmatics, the semantics of pejoratives, structures and func¬tions of reported speech, and word order in German.
